Share Statements for Veterans Day

Chair Ross Wilburn released the following statement:

“On Veterans Day, we honor the dedication, service and sacrifice of our brave U.S. service members. As we express our gratitude, we must remember it’s not enough to give thanks just one day a year. Our Nation has an obligation to protect and care for our Veterans and their families long after they return home.

I’m proud to stand, salute and support those who wear our Nation’s uniform and their families. I remain committed to protecting those who protect our democracy.

Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.”

IDP Veterans Caucus Chair Michelle Servadio Elias released the following statement:

“November 11 isn’t just a day on the calendar. It’s a reminder for all Americans to honor and thank those who serve in our armed forces. As we salute our American heroes, we recommit our dedication to all veterans, active members of the military and their families.

We must be advocates throughout the year for our U.S. service members. Our Veterans deserve good paying jobs, access to necessary health care and the ability to provide a home for their families. It’s up to all of us to ensure they have the care and support worthy of their sacrifice.”
